After Web Cache Upgrade from 10g to 11g OPMN does not Ping Web Cache Server (Doc ID 1533210.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2024

Applies to:

Web Cache - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.4.0 [Release Oracle11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading 10.1.2.3 to 11.1.1.x opmn does not send healthcheck ping to WC Server.

This will also occur after a new install of 11.1.1.x and all non-ssl ports are disabled.

After WebCache server crash, opmn does not restart WC server.

If you disable WebCache NON SSL ports and only use SSL Ports, you will begin to see errors in the WebCache event_log.

This is caused because OPMN is using one wallet and WebCache has another wallet where the CARoot Certificates in Both wallets  are not able to handshake.

Changing the default wallet used in webcache.xml to use the same wallet used in the opmn.xml file appears to have corrected this behavior and prevent OPMN from restarting WebCache.

Changes

All non-ssl port disable in webcache.
