Symptoms
Java SE 6 and 7 crash when running on Solaris 11.1 using Sparc T4 systems after one to two minutes of application runtime. No core file is produced and the HotSpot error log (hs_err*.log) is truncated.
The problem can be reproduced by running a test app and loading several web pages in succession for one to two minutes.
Changes
The Problem occurs after migrating application to Solaris 11.1 on T4 systems.
The problem does not occur if:
- Solaris 11 or below is used on T4 systems.
- Solaris 11.1 is used on systems other than T4 systems.
- Solaris 12 is used on T4 systems.
