Symptoms

Failure while patching from Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.6 following the steps in the Fusion Middleware Patching Guide 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.0).

The failure occurs during the step which upgrades System Components, as documented in the following:

Section 3.9.5.1 Upgrading System Components

The command which fails is './upgradenonj2eeapp.sh -oracleInstance <INSTANCE_PATH> -adminHost <HOST> -adminPort <PORT> -adminUsername weblogic'.

The OPMN provision log, <ORACLE_INSTANCE>/diagnostics/logs/OPMN/opmn/provision.log shows :
