Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.4.0 to 11.1.1.7.0 [Release 11g]
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) - Version: 2008 R2

Symptoms

On : OID 11g versions,

OID had been working fine on MS Windows 2008 R2.

After applying MS SP1, OID fails to start.

Output of opmnctl status shows oidmon alive, and oidldapd down.

The following error is seen in the OID dispatcher process log oidldapd01-0000.log:

[2013-03-21T19:23:11-04:00] [OID] [NOTIFICATION:16] [] [OIDLDAPD] [host: <HOSTNAME>] [pid: 41656] [tid: 0] Main:: Exec of OIDLDAPD failed with error

Changes

Applied Service Pack 1 to the Windows 2008 R2 Server.

Backing out of MS SP1 allows OID to start normally as before.
