Publishing Failure In Cluster Environment When Time Is Not In Sync In One Of The Nodes (Doc ID 1543838.1)

Symptoms

A publish is failing with this error in the Source environment:

[2013-03-13 04:28:50,540] [logging.cs.xcelerate.publish] Exception occurred while gathering
com.fatwire.cs.core.realtime.DataException: Unable to obtain latest list of publishable assets after 50 retries for pub session 1313820561525. This may be caused by significant editorial activity around approved assets
at com.fatwire.realtime.ApprovalGroupingStrategy.execute(y:1520)
at com.fatwire.realtime.DataGathererImpl.execute(y:953)
at com.fatwire.realtime.PubMain._standardPublish(y:3112)
at com.fatwire.realtime.PubMain.execute(y:1565)
at org.apache.jsp.jsp.cs_005fdeployed.OpenMarket.Xcelerate.PrologActions.Publish.AdvPub.PublishApprovedAssets_jsp._jspService(PublishApprovedAssets_jsp.java:98)
at org.apache.jasper.runtime.HttpJspBase.service(HttpJspBase.java:70)

The Source environment is a cluster of 3 nodes where it was discovered that there is a 9 minute time difference between the nodes.

As a test, customer have turned off two nodes to make the environment a one node instance to avoid the time discrepancy issue. After this was done, publishing works.
