How to Capture a Webcenter Content Java Stack Dump on the Windows Platform (Doc ID 1544915.1)

Goal

This Note demonstrates how the utility thdump.exe, can be used to capture a Java JVM stack dump from the Webcenter Content java process on Microsoft Windows.

The utility is similar in purpose to the using the "kill" command on a UNIX system to send a SIGQUIT signal (3) to the running JVM and works in the same way as pressing CTRL-BREAK in a command prompt window where a java program is running the foreground.

Note: Essentially this can be used on Windows, with any running Java Process!
