OVD 11g HideEntriesByFilter Plugin Not Hiding Or Exposing Desired OU Entries From Operations / How To Hide Or Expose Only Certain OUs From The Backend LDAP To OVD 11g? (Doc ID 1547124.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g.

In order to restrict or hide OVD from showing user entries under an OU container, e.g. designated to disabled accounts in the backend LDAP directory, such as Active Directory (AD), configured the HideEntriesByFilter plugin as per the documentation with:

hideFilter = (!(ou=Disabled Accounts))
applyForAdmin = true

However, searches and binds via OVD continue to work for the users under this undesired OU.
