Refresh Button Not Showing Updated Content in CP

Goal
When Ctrl+Shift+C is clicked in Content Presenter, the following three links appear on the top Right corner over the content: Create, Edit and Refresh.
After creating or editing the content, the refresh button is clicked to reflect any changes made to the existing content and also to show any new content.
However, if the content is edited, the update made on the content is not visible after clicking Refresh.
How is it possible to get the refresh button to display the content changes?
