Goal
A common question asked about the GlassFish Server product family is whether its JDBC Connection Pool configuration is shared or co-ordinated between instances, either standalone, in a cluster, or in multiple-clusters that are part of the same domain. It is often a common misconception that the JDBC Connnection Pool settings are per domain, or per cluster, and that the domain has a mechanism that co-ordinates the connection usage across the clusters and instances using the pool. This article aims to clarify the actual behaviour of the product.
