Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID).

Running remtool command fails with, for example for 11g:

$ remtool -presetpwd
Enter supplier directory details:
Enter hostname of the host running OID server: <OID_HOSTNAME>

Enter port on which OID server is listening : <OID_NONSSL_PORT>

Enter superuser DN : cn=orcladmin

Enter superuser password :
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Set ORACLE_SID environment variable to SID of the database with which ldap://<OID_HOSTNAME>:<OID_NONSSL_PORT> is associated.

Or:

$ ./remtool -pchgwalpwd -v -bind <OID_HOSTNAME>:<OID_NONSSLPORT>
Enter replication dn password :
