Is it Possible to Encrypt Database User Name and Passwords in WebCenter Forms Recognition AP Solution Project? (Doc ID 1554861.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition - Version 10.1.3.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Is there a way to configure the WebCenter Forms Recognition AP Solution Project to encrypt the database connection string details so they are not exposed in the project INI file?  For example, the following string shows the user name and password in plain text in the file:

SQL_VL_01_ConnectionString=Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;Password=<Password>;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=<User_ID>;Data Source=localhost:1521/XE

A user can open the ini file and see this information.
