Symptoms
After the database environment was converted from single-byte seven-bit US7ASCII to AL32UTF8 a varying-width, calls from a different java system inserting into an Oracle table was inserting unknown characters.
The fields where this is happening are inserting the data using the following functions from the java code:
The table where this is inserted is in a remote database and it is used a database link to insert the data.
