Symptoms
Some of the symptoms seen when Oracle VM Server cannot communicate with Oracle VM Manager at https port 7002, are:
- Creating a new Virtual Disk would result in error - "Not able to retrieve the newly created virtual disk within the timeout period"
- Starting a Guest VM would leave the guest status as - "Starting", though the Guest is already started.
- On Oracle VM Server, we find the following errors repeatedly under /var/log/ovs-agent.log:
DEBUG (notificationserver:237) Trying to connect to manager.
ERROR (notificationserver:244) Error initializing notification server: 'Invalid URL Request (send) https://<manager ip>:7002/ovm/core/OVMManagerCoreServlet/...'
