Last updated on AUGUST 28, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.1.0 to 11.1.2.1.0 [Release 11g]
Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 11.1.1.7.0 to 11.1.1.7.0 [Release Oracle11g]
Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.1.6.0 [Release FMW11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Customers are not encouraged to install or begin using Oracle Portal 11g for the first time. Oracle Portal 11g has reached its terminal release and is out of Extended Support (Refer to Note: 1566193.1 Oracle Portal: Questions and Answers - Statement of Direction & Lifetime Support Policy).  If looking for a Portal solution, the recommendation is to install Oracle WebCenter Portal to bring together the most complete portfolio of portal, web experience management, content, social, and collaboration technologies into a single integrated product suite.

This document will provide instructions to install and configure Oracle Portal with Oracle Access Manager.

This document has been tested with the following releases:

  1. Fusion Middleware patch set 11.1.1.7 includes Oracle Portal 11.1.1.6. Oracle Portal 11.1.1.7 was never released.
  2. Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.7 is supported, Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9 has not been certified with Oracle Portal 11g and should not be used
  3. Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.9 is not supported as starting point for Oracle Portal installations. In addition, it is not supported to replace the 11.1.1.7 webtier with 11.1.1.9 even if the latter is installed in a separate ORACLE_HOME or on a separate server. More info is available in the FMW 11.1.1.9 release notes.
  4. Oracle Access Manager 11.1.2.3 is supported. Patch now released.
