Users Not Able to See Some Folders Even Though They Have Proper Permission to the Folders (Doc ID 1564383.1)

Last updated on APRIL 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When navigating into a folder, some folders that users expect to see are not being displayed.  This can happen if the folder has its security group or account field set to a security name or account name containing an underscore, or when using Access Control Lists (ACLs) containing users, groups, or roles whose names contain underscores.

For example, a folder is created and its security group is set to the security group named New_Group.  A user has a role which gives him Read access to the New_Group security group.  However, that user does not see the folder when navigating into its parent folder.
