Symptoms

After configuring a Standalone LDAP provider in WebSphere for use with WebCenter Content, the JPS provider in WCC is shown in a "down" status. In addition, jps tracing in the content server output shows a NullPointerException occurring on user lookups in LDAP/Active Directory.
