Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0) - for Oracle WebCenter

Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0) for Oracle WebCenter has been released to Oracle Technology Network (OTN), My Oracle Support (MOS), and Oracle Software Delivery Cloud systems with the following release schedule.

  • My Oracle Support released Patch Set 11.1.1.8 downloads for all existing installations. (Patch Set media is also included within full Media Packs).

  • Oracle Technology Network has released 11.1.1.8 Documentation. Oracle Fusion Middleware product pages will begin to provide 11.1.1.8 information as applicable to their usage.

Highlights

  • This release is specific to Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8) - WebCenter products.
  • Customers are encouraged to always install the latest Patch Set.
    The Grace Period for WebCenter 11.1.1.8.0 is 1 year starting from the date release/GA of the next Patch Set. This means the same happens for older Patch Sets of the software. Please kindly verify whether or not the Patch Set version you are in is out of the Error Correction Policy.

Known Issues

The initial release of WebCenter Content 11.1.1.8 introduced some data instability issues, that could occur under certain rare circumstances.  The workaround is to install the MLR-1 patch.  It has been released and it is required by Oracle Support. 
Download and install Patch 17406049 [https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/PatchDetail?patchId=17406049].

WebCenter Content Admin applets are not opening after upgrading the browser's Java plugin to Java 1.7.0_45.  See WebCenter Content Server Admin Applets failing with Upgrade to Java 7 -45 (Doc ID 1592799.1) for solutions.
