Symptoms

You may see the following warning message in the iPlanet Web Server errors log file:

For 6.1:

[17/Apr/2013:09:35:18] warning (<PID>): for host <IP ADDRESS> trying to GET /index.jsp, flex-log reports: HTTP4198: buffer overflow (log entry greater than 4096 characters)

For 7.0:

[10/Jul/2013:11:03:10] warning ( <PID>): for host <IP ADDRESS> trying to GET /cgi-bin/env.cgi?name_of_sender=&name_of_files=&text_file=Sci8zpXiXEavGrwFl5hIiAOKk4cbJtnep;+SMSESSION2=w7cAO6D9NKgyIwgNLb4r, flex-log reports: HTTP4198: access log entry truncated (log entry would be greater than 4096 characters)
