As described in KM doc ID 1373397.1, the ODSEE product releases now have a new patch delivery process.

The 6.3.1.1.2 Bundle Patch for the ODSEE (DS and DPS) server is now available through the Oracle patch portal.  At this time you should install this bundle ONLY if you are working with Oracle support within an active SR.

Note: This patch bundle is being provided as a rollup for customers requiring fixes on the 6.x/6.3.1 release.  Customers are strongly encouraged to start upgrade planning for the 11g release of ODSEE moving forward.

Release notes for the 6.3.1.1.2 Bundle patch

Please see KM Doc ID 1387215.1 for information on the security fixes within the consolidated bundle patch.

Please review the 6.3.1.1.2 release notes above, security patches that are included in this particular Bundle Patch, will be marked as "Issue resolved".

Make sure to review the "known issues" section of the release notes before applying the patch set to a production environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR Solaris PKG installations:
The patch release notes for the Native PKG versions indicate that a "patchrm" command can back this patch out, this is incorrect.  There is no way to "back" this patch out once installed. This patch it will upgrade the runtime database within your ODSEE install.

Please make sure to perform appropriate backups of your installation before applying this patch bundle.  Oracle recommends thorough testing before applying this patch bundle to a production environment.

Stop the DS before creating your backup.

PKG based installations of the directory server will require a system backup as the install spans the /etc /var and /opt locations
