OHS/mod_plsql 11g/12c Prompts for Password After Encrypting Password in Dads.conf with dadtool.pl (Doc ID 1574928.1)

Symptoms

After using dadtool.pl script to encrypt dads.conf passwords, access to the applications is requesting to provide credentials even when storing in the dads.conf for automatic authentication.

Encrypt the password in dads.conf by executing command:

perl dadTool.pl -f <ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OHS/ohs1/mod_plsql/dads.conf

When accessing the application, it should run without asking for credentials to be provided.

Changes

Encrypting password in dads.conf is the only change affecting this. Following the below documentation:
