OHS/mod_plsql 11g/12c Prompts for Password After Encrypting Password in Dads.conf with (Doc ID 1574928.1)

Last updated on MARCH 06, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version to [Release Oracle11g to 12c]
All Platforms

After using script to encrypt dads.conf passwords, access to the applications is requesting to provide credentials even when storing in the dads.conf for automatic authentication.

To reproduce:

Encrypt the password in dads.conf by executing command:

perl -f <ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OHS/ohs1/mod_plsql/dads.conf

When accessing the application, it should run without asking for credentials to be provided.

Encrypting password in dads.conf is the only change affecting this. Following the below documentation:

Administrator's Guide for Oracle HTTP Server 11g
3.10 mod_plsql

Administrator's Guide for Oracle HTTP Server 12c
2.8 mod_plsql
