OAG Analytics Cannot Get Reporting Data, ERROR "Unknown metric group type"

Symptoms
OAG 11.1.2.1.0 or newer, OAG Analytics has been configured.
When doing any transaction, Analytics is not generating any reports and there does not seem to be anything happening in the console (<HOST>:<PORT>)
The following messages are observed:
