How To Configure Oracle Traffic Director (OTD) To Proxy Requests To Two Groups Of Different Origin Servers? (Doc ID 1583374.1)

Last updated on APRIL 06, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Traffic Director - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The following deployment diagram depicts how the request flow would look like :

1. SOAP UI/Browser ---> OTD ---> Oracle Service Bus (OSB) server(s) residing inside of Exalogic
2. OSB ---> OTD ---> SSL enabled PeopleSoft HCM server(s) residing outside of Exalogic
3. SSL HCM Sever(s) ---> OTD ----> SOAP UI/Browser

As you can see the OTD is accessed twice here. First the client (SOAP UI or browser etc.) is accessing the OSB origin servers via the OTD and then OSB server is connecting to the SSL enabled HCM servers via OTD again.  How to configure the OTD to achieve this?
