WCC Imaging Viewer is not rendering an Image and WCC Log Displays Error "csPathSegmentContainsIllegalCharacter" (Doc ID 1583827.1)

Symptoms

When trying to view WCC Imaging documents, the viewer keeps saying it is rendering the image but never display the images. 

The WCC Imaging logs show the following error:

[2013-09-11T15:32:30.782-04:00] [IPM_server1] [ERROR] [] [oracle.imaging.service] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <USERID>] [ecid:<>] [APP: imaging] Document 10.IPM_910371 failed image conversion and cannot be stored in the cache at this time. Please review the server log for details on the cause of the error.[[
oracle.imaging.RenderingException: Document 10.IPM_910371 failed image conversion and cannot be stored in the cache at this time. Please review the server log for details on the cause of the error.

The WCC Server logs show the following error:
