After 11g IDM Installation, dipStatus Shows: "ODIP Application is down at this host and port." (Doc ID 1590560.1)

Symptoms

Installed and configured Identity Managment 11.1.1.7 with OID, ODSM and DIP.

DIP testing fails:

 ./dipStatus -h soidapp2pb.opracle.com -p 7005 -D pweblogic
[Weblogic user password]
Connection parameters initialized.
Connecting at soidapp2pb.oracle.com:7005, with userid "pweblogic"..
Connected successfully.


ODIP Application is down at this host and port.

 

Managed server wls_ods1 logs show the following error message:
