WCC 11.1.1.6 - Adding Configuration Entry 'CollectionLocation' Causes Content Server not to Start (Doc ID 1591105.1)

Symptoms

There is a requirement to use a network drive for an Archiver Collection location.
System is a Windows 64 bit OS.

Reference the <note 445440.1> : How To Move The Location Of The Archive Directory (Doc ID 445440.1)

Added a line to the file /ucm/cs/bin/intradoc.cfg: CollectionLocation=Y:/Archives

Trying to start the Content Server fails.

The Content Server logs show the following error: intradoc.common.ServiceException: !syFileUtilsUnableToCreateSpecifiedDir,Y:/Archives

The WLS Managed Server logging shows this error when trying to start:

<BEA-280101> <The persistent filestore "_XYZ" is forced to use buffered I/O and so may have significantly degraded performance. Either the OS/hardware environment does
not support the chosen write policy or the native wlfileio library is missing.>

 

Changes

 Added a line to the file /ucm/cs/bin/intradoc.cfg: CollectionLocation=Y:/Archives
