Symptoms

Unable to use newly created self-signed certificate

Problem Description:

Upgrade from 5.2 to 11gR1

After creating the new self-signed certificate in the migrated instance using the command 'dsadm add-selfsign-cert <instance-path> cert-alias' and restarting the instance, the server is unable to find the new self-signed certificate.


When this command is run:

 



the following error message is returned:

[12/Mar/2013:13:51:52 +0800] - ERROR - SSL - conn=-1 op=-1 msgId=-1 - Security Initialization: Can't find certificate (<NEW_SERVER_CERT>) for family cn=rsa,cn=encryption,cn=config (error -8174 - security library: bad database.)
