Webcenter11g 11.1.1.6 Framework Portal Re-Deployment Failing (Doc ID 1595290.1)

Goal

When attempting to redeploy a WebCenter Custom Portal Framework Application, the following error occurs:

Error: [September 26,2013 11:43:48 AM EDT] You cannot redeploy application with an archive that has different name or location from the existing source of the application: /app/<APPDIR>/.user_projects/domains/<APPDIR>/servers/adm_server1/upload/<PORTAL>/V2.0/app/<APPNAME>.ear. Try to redeploy application using the archive that has the same name and location as the previous deployment. If the problem continues, you need to undeploy and deploy the application.

[September 26,2013 11:43:48 AM EDT] An exception occurred.
[September 26,2013 11:43:48 AM EDT] Redploy operation failed.


The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
   Attempt to redeploy .ear file <APPNAME>.ear from different deployment environments like JDeveloper, WLST and EM.
