ODI 11g Tool OdiInvokeWebService Hangs When Invoking Siebel Server-Side Web Services That Run Longer Than 30 Minutes (Doc ID 1601812.1)

Symptoms

When executing the ODI version 11.1.1.6.0 OdiInvokeWebService tool to call a web service hosted on a Siebel Server, successful execution usually takes 30 seconds to complete.

However, and in an intermittent manner, the OdiInvokeWebService task appears to hang in a permanently active (green running icon) status for about 30 minutes. Activity is then resumed by the ODI Agent running the Scenario and no error message is signalled.
