Integrating Oracle Access Manager With Oracle WebCenter Sites Clarification For Login Id (Doc ID 1603138.1)

Goal

When the email ID of users are used as the login IDs when creating users through Oracle identity manager (OID) i.e the user id in OVD/OID (Oracle Internet Directory) is email id. The default WCS CS/CAS does not support user id with special characters like '@'. i.e we cannot use email id as the login id. Now, when we setup WCS OID integration (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29751/ldap_int_overview.htm#WBCSC1924), will WCS support using email id as the login id? Is this supported by the product? Is there a way to disable user id validation in WCS?
