Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.1.5.0 [Release 11gR1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Assigning "Null" values in Oracle SOA 11g vs SOA 10g

Consider a simple assign where Variable 1 = Variable 2

In SOA 10g
1.) If variable 1 has some Value then the value is assigned to Variable 2
2.) If Variable 1 = Null then Variable 2 is also assigned as Null

In SOA 11g
1.) If variable 1 has some Value then the value is assigned to Variable 2
2.) If Variable 1 = Null then we see that a selection failure is thrown.
