Deleting A Page Via Asset:delete Does Not Void It From The SitePlanTree Table (Doc ID 1603853.1)

Last updated on JULY 31, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Sites - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using asset:delete to delete a Page asset does not Void the SitePlanTree entry for that Page.

Steps:
1. Delete existing page using asset:delete tag:
 e.g.
<asset:load name="PageToDelete" type="Page" objectid="[PageObjectID#]" />
<asset:delete name="PageToDelete" />

2. In the Contributor UI, the Page asset is deleted, and it does not show up in the Site Tree.
  However, the entry for this Page in the SitePlanTree table is still marked as "UnPlaced".
  e.g.
  NID NPARENTID NRANK OTYPE OID OVERSION NCODE
  [NID#] [NPARENTID#] 1 Page [PageObjectID#] UnPlaced

  - When deleting a Page via the UI, the SitePlanTree entry for that Page is marked (ncode) as "Void"
