Last updated on JULY 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 11.1.1.2.0 to 12.1.2.0.0 [Release Oracle11g to 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Different tools can be used to display ADF Application Module Performance data from DMS.

Using the DMS Spy servlet or Fusion Middleware Control (fmwc) was able to browse and get most of the statistics for the ADF application. Following is fmwc breadcrumbs used for HelloHR_Application1 ADF application.

  fmwc > Farm > Application Deployments > HelloHR_Application1 > Performance Summary > Show Metric Palette > HelloHR > ADF Application module pools > model.AppModule:

When navigating to the oracle.dms JMX MBeans using tools such as JConsole was not able to find any related MBean to get the performance data, e.g.:

* MBeans for ampool with a name like: ...,name=/oracle/jbo/common/ampool/...
* Several AppModule pool attributes are also not available in JConsole under the oracle.dms branch, like the Passivations attribute.

The following errors are recorded in <domain_home>/servers/AdminServer/logs/AdminServer-diagnostic.log after enabling the dms debug flags (See <note 1550595.1> for details):

The metric name for the ampool noun contains the ":" character, which caused a problem while parsing the MBean ObjectName.
