Vanity URLs are bound to a specific Template or to the default asset Template.

If you create an embedded link, you have to specify a Template. If the chosen Template differs from the Template for the vanity URL, the link will not use the vanity URL and will instead create a standard query string URL.

Furthermore, if you do select the Template for the vanity URL and then at a later time change the vanity URL to use a different Template, you will need to update all embedded links with the new Template, which can be very time consuming.

Is there any way to have embedded links always use the default Template assigned to the asset?
Is there any other way to avoid this problem?
