Logretention preventing rman from deleting old archives (Doc ID 1610702.1)

Goal

RMAN cannot delete old archived logs whike extracts are working with the database and registered for logretention.


SQL>select * from dba_capture

returns that first_scn/ start_scn is growing for one of the extracts, but not for another one.

This correlates strongly to time from which RMAN stopped deleting archived logs.

In addition, dba_capture shows for one of the extracts start_scn=first_scn=11/29 and this holds archived logs from being deleted.
Another extract works as expected, and first_scn=start_scn = very recent time.
