After Upgrading Client Java Version to 7u51 (or higher) Applet Tabs Not Working (Doc ID 1614620.1)

Symptoms

Content producers were complaining that:

1. the applet is no longer showing the history and other tabs
2. selecting an asset in the applet to add to another asset does not work

This appears to occur after updating the client java version to 1.7.0_51
This problem happens in all browsers.
