Since export-ldif in offline mode can be run while the server has been started, there are 3 different ways an ldif can be exported using export-ldif -

1) export-ldif in online mode (requires the server to be started)
2) export-ldif in offline mode while the server is running
3) export-ldif in offline mode after the server has been stopped

Q1: What are the advantages and disadvantages of running export-ldif in each of the ways listed above?
Q2: When the server is started prior to running export-ldif in "offline mode", and the ldif is created directly from the database, will the ldif be more accurate or will the ldif output be different rather than running export-ldif in online mode?
Q3: It will take some hours to complete the online mode export-ldif ,how does export command process the changed data during this export transaction?
