Impossible to Reimport or Remove Tables Using DBAdapter Configuration Wizard
(Doc ID 1616709.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In JDeveloper, when using the Database Adapter Configuration Wizard with option "Perform Operation on Table", it is impossible to remove selected tables or to reimport previously imported ones, in order to propagate changes made to the database.
Execution steps:
1 - Create a Database Adapter for insert and update operations to a table
2 - Make some changes to the database, like adding a new column to the same table
3 - Rerun the Database Adapter Configuration Wizard
A warning message is displayed, suggesting reimporting the specific table(s) (step 5 of 9 in the wizard), but following the suggested steps produces no visible effect and the same warning is shown again when you try to continue to the next step. If you try to remove the table, hoping to import it again, you find that it is not possible to do this. Even when running the wizard for the first time, you cannot remove any of the imported tables after importing them.
