Last updated on SEPTEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.2.0 to 11.1.1.8.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Content Categorizer has the option to use a third party categorization engine for integration, as mentioned in

Oracle® Fusion Middleware Managing Oracle WebCenter Content
11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
Part Number E26693-03
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e26693/ucm_link_cat.htm#CHDGBDAG

9 Categorizing and Linking Content
9.2 Categorizing Content
9.2.5.4 Categorization Engine Search Rule

The Categorization Engine search rule uses a third-party categorizer engine and defined taxonomy to determine and return a value that represents a category within the specified taxonomy, for example, News/Technology/Computers.

As per 10g documentation
Content Categorizer Administration Guide
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/contentcategorizer/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm

The following are supported and the documentation provides more information on integration:
1. ADAPTOR MODULES FOR AUTONOMY
2. APR SMARTLOGIK (Now the company is know as Smartlogic and the product is called Semaphore)

No such information is provided in the latest documentation (11.1.1.8).
Is integration into the above 3rd party products are still supported?
