Input/Output Error When Using NFS Mounted Shared Folder (Doc ID 1626921.1)

Symptoms


A Java application, in this case Oracle Reports 11g, displayed the following error message using JOCCache on shared file system mounted with nfs v3.

Java SE used:

java version "1.7.0_09"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_09-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.5-b02, mixed mode)


Operating System used:
64-bit RedHat Linux Enterprise 6

 The problem was reproduced with a stand-alone program:
