Why Does One Unexpectedly Get A Binary Object Out Of Replicated Cache? (Doc ID 1627380.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Coherence is being used as follows:

  1. There is a cluster with storage-enabled nodes with two separate caches.  One of the caches is a distributed cache and the other is a replicated cache "replicatedCache".

  2. The cluster also has a storage-disabled Extend Proxy node and the client application is connecting to the cluster via the proxy.

  3. The client has registers a MapListener with the Extend proxy.  For example, the listener implements the entryUpdated() call back which is triggered when the distributed cache is updated:
