Using Xming with RCU and Configure.sh to Install/Configure ODI 12c Does Not Allow KeyBoard Entry (Doc ID 1627891.1)

Symptoms

When trying to use either the Repository Creation Utility (RCU) or the Configuration Manager (Config.sh/.cmd)  to install and configure Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c on Linux/Unix via Xming on Windows it is not possible to use the keyboard but only the mouse.

1.Start Xming and Confirm it is started in the Windows tray

2. start RCU, notice that it is not possible to use mouse or keyboard:

3. start the Config.sh as follows and then use mouse until keyboard is required - see the following entry:

      

It is not possible to use the keyboard.

As RCU and Config Manager need some information to be entered using the keyboard you cannot use them on Linux/Unix via Xming on Windows.
