Purpose

This is a Primary Note for SSL Configuration in Fusion Middleware 12c Release 1 (12.1.x). By following this Note you should be able to understand Wallet types, Keystores, Wallet and Keystore creation methods, and configuration of Oracle HTTP Server and WebLogic server with SSL. The same concepts apply to 12c Release 2 (12.2.1), but administrators should follow the Oracle Documentation for changes and new features. At some point there may be a R2 Primary Note once there are enough R2 specific MOS docs.
