Switiching On FullText Search Seems To Break The Webcenter Content-Siebel Managed attachments Connector

Symptoms
In a development environment, we are testing with Webcenter Content FullText Indexing.
We switched on FullText Indexing using Oracle Text like so:
SearchIndexerEngineName=OracleTextSearch
After doing that, and (re-)building the Search Index, we noticed that the Webcenter Content-Siebel Managed Attachments connector does not function.
It reports the following error:
"Query notification Error occurred while processing. Unable to return results."
