java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: No More Data To Read From Socket (Doc ID 1633316.1)

Symptoms

When a query with subqueries or views is run using JDBC 11.2.0.3 for connection to an Oracle database 10.2.0.5, the following error is received:

java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: No more data to read from socket
