WebCenter Portal Event Email Notification Contains File Attachment Called Not Supported Calendar Message.ics (Doc ID 1633374.1)

Symptoms

Customer is subscribing to events in their Space, and when they create a new event in the calendar they are seeing the notification email in their local MS Outlook client contains an attachment stating "not supported calendar message.ics"  They did not see this in 11.1.1.5.4 but they are seeing this in 11.1.1.6.6.

In 11.1.1.5.4 the email has an attached file but it is named with the created event name .ics. For example testevent.ics

The reason this was working in 11.1.1.5.4 is that we have seen in 11.1.1.6.6 the email embeds the ics data, compared to 11.1.1.5.4 which was attaching the ics file to the email.  Even in 11.1.1.6.6 when they use send mail from the event that attaches the ics file fine and it works ok for them. It is only the automated notification email that has issues.

Searching online seems to indicate issues with how Outlook handles the ics data and their formatting.

It happens for all of their users, on all PC's (Windows 7) using the same Outlook version I was testing with which worked internally.

This happens for old and new Spaces so it is not specific to one Space.
