Last updated on MAY 19, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Example Scenario:
Currently running Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g 11.1.1.6 on three nodes which replicate to each other using LDAP based OID Multimaster Replication.

Need to upgrade all components to latest versions with minimal downtime, including for example:

JDK version, e.g., from JDK 1.7.0_17 to JDK 1.7.0_51
Database (DB), e.g., from 11.2.0.3.3 to latest PSU 11.2.0.3.9
    Weblogic Server, e.g., from 10.3.6.0.2 to 10.3.6.0.6
OID from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7, then apply Bundle Patch 11.1.1.7.5

Reviewed following documentation for OID replicated nodes:

Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Internet Directory 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) Part Number E10029-06
Appendix Q Performing a Rolling Upgrade

But unsure where to best fit in the other components upgrades.
