Purpose
This document is provided as a supplement to official documentation distributed within the Exalogic Virtual 2.0.6.0.1 (X3-2, X2-2) Patch Set Update (PSU) for April 2014:

It provides further illustration and explanation on the sequence of steps that should be followed to upgrade firmware and software components of Exalogic Systems to patch level 2.0.6.0.1.
Scope
IMPORTANT NOTE
This PSU is to be used ONLY on a freshly installed EECS 2.0.6 racks.
Specifically, this PSU is not applicable for Exalogic virtual racks upgraded from EECS 2.0.4 to EECS 2.0.6. For customers that have a rack that has been upgraded from 2.0.4 to 2.0.6, please file an SR with the Exalogic support team, referencing this Note, for details on how to proceed.
Oracle's recommendation is that Patch Set Upgrades should only be performed by qualified and experienced personnel, such as resources available through Oracle Advanced Customer Support Services. Upgrade services are available from Oracle Advanced Customer Services via the Oracle Exalogic Quarterly Patch Deployment Service component of the Oracle Exalogic Start-Up Pack service offering.
