Oracle Forms Fails With FRM-40734 After Calling An Exception (Doc ID 1643562.1)

Oracle Forms for OCI - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later

If an exception is declared in a package and then called from a procedure, things work fine in 10.1.2.3 but fail in 11g with the following error:

FRM-40734: Internal Error: PL/SQL- Error occurred

Things work fine in 11g if the exception is declared in a procedure.

Migrated to 11g or new development in 11g.
