WCC Server Hangs and JMAP.EXE Process is Invoked

You run WCC Server as a service on Windows. You frequently find that the server becomes unresponsive. The server logs shows events like this:
After this, the content server will stop creating logs and eventually between 20 and 40 minutes the content server will become unresponsive. Restarting the server helps, but sometimes the first attempt fails.
While the server is hung, the Java process JMAP.EXE automatically runs. Even that process seems to hang. During this time, you are unable to capture thread dumps, since the server is completely unresponsive.
