Can an Imaging URL Used to Display the Image Associated with a Task be Encrypted? (Doc ID 1664885.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Can a WebCenter Content: Imaging URL (which is used to display the image associated with a task) be encrypted?

For Example:
1) Login to the application as a normal non-admin user whose access only includes those invoices handled by him/her. Observe the invoices/requests available under the “My Tasks” queue.
2) Select one of the requests in the queue and then navigate to the “Attachments” tab in the bottom frame, and click on the invoice available under it.
3) Observe the ensuing requests in an HTTP proxy and capture the traffic for a request with URL like the one below:

Is there anyway to mask/encrypt the entire url (i.e "https://Server:port/imaging/renderimage/ZEROdeg/fitFITWIDTH/crop0T0L496H1145W/annotationstrue/page1/2.IPM_002500.JPEG?") in Imaging while performing transition?
